Te mapa
Warrnambool sits on the southwest coast of Victoria, where the Southern Ocean meets the curve of Lady Bay. On the map, the city is framed by water on three sides. The Merri River loops through its western side to the sea, and the Hopkins River meets the coast in a wide estuary to the east. The regular grid of the city centre fills the land between them.
The city marks the western end of the Great Ocean Road. It is known for Logans Beach, where southern right whales come close to shore to calve during the winter months. Near the breakwater, Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village recreates a nineteenth-century port. Lake Pertobe's parkland lies between the centre and the beach.
A Warrnambool map poster captures an unusually well-defined city: an orderly grid bordered by two rivers, a lake park and a long sweep of coastline. In black and white, the curve of the bay and the winding courses of the rivers make a balanced, calm composition that feels right for a coastal home.

The Merri River winds through the west side of town and the Hopkins River widens into an estuary to the east, framing the central grid.
East of the Hopkins mouth, Logans Beach is known for its whale-watching platform, where southern right whales are often seen close to shore in winter.
