Westlake is a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, west of Cleveland and just inland from the shore of Lake Erie. Its layout follows the old township survey, so the main roads run long and straight in east-west and north-south lines. Between them, residential subdivisions of curving streets fill the blocks.
Interstate 90 crosses the city, and near it sits Crocker Park, a mixed-use district of shops, restaurants and apartments built in a walkable street pattern. Elsewhere the map is dominated by tree-lined neighbourhoods, parks and school campuses, the quieter fabric of a well-established suburb.
