Te mapa
Yên Vinh, better known as Vinh, is the capital of Nghệ An province, on the coastal plain of north-central Vietnam near the Lam River. From above, the city shows a surprisingly regular structure: wide avenues and rectangular blocks, with lakes and parks set into the grid.
That order is partly a result of history. The city was heavily damaged during the war and largely rebuilt afterward, including housing districts built with assistance from East Germany. The traces of the old citadel remain in the city's layout, and the new streets spread outward in planned districts.
Beyond the centre, the city blends into rice fields and villages, with the Lam River forming a wide boundary to the east. Kim Liên, the home village of Hồ Chí Minh, lies not far away. A Yên Vinh map poster shows a modern city built over an old one, with order at its centre.
Broad, straight roads divide the city into regular blocks, giving the map a clear and ordered structure at its core.
The outline of the old citadel remains visible in the street pattern, a small reminder of the city's history before its rebuilding.
The wide river runs along the city's eastern side, forming a strong natural boundary between the built area and the plain.

Koteā ko Yên Vinh
Vinh is a city of students and families from across Nghệ An, and many people who left for Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City still call it home. The map is a quiet reminder of where they started.
