关于地图
Dhabad Map Poster & Print
Dhabad lies in Galguduud, a region of central Somalia made up largely of flat, dry country used for grazing. On the map the town is a modest gathering of streets and plots, and roads lead away across the plain toward other towns in the region. The landscape leaves little in the way of rivers or hills to organise the plan.
Because of that, the town's shape is set by its connections. The routes out of Dhabad are the strongest lines on the page, and the built area gathers where they meet. Mapping in this part of Somalia is often incomplete, so the plan stays spare and makes no attempt to fill in detail that has not been recorded.
A Dhabad map poster is for people who know the place rather than people who have read about it. It gives a scattered family a shared reference, one plain drawing of where they came from, and it looks at home in a modern room far from the plains it shows.

Low-density layout
Streets and plots are spaced loosely, so the settlement reads as a light, open pattern rather than a dense block.
Surrounding plain
Around the town the land is open and mostly unmarked. On a minimal print the plain becomes a quiet, even background.

为什么选Dhabad
一张有意义的地图
For the Somali diaspora a map of a home town carries a lot of meaning: a connection to family, to language and to a particular patch of ground. A clean black-and-white plan of Dhabad marks that connection without fuss.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, with a clan or family name, a date or a short line of your own. Choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. It is available as $9 print-ready digital files or as a printed poster from partners in more than 30 countries.
