Shrine-centred core
The town's streets are concentrated around its central shrine. This gives the settlement a clear focal point and a compact, inward-looking shape on the map.

关于地图
Al-Qāsim Map Poster & Print
Al-Qāsim lies in Babil Governorate, south of Hillah, on the flat alluvial plain between the Tigris and the Euphrates. From above, the town forms a compact cluster of streets surrounded by farmland crossed with irrigation canals. Straight channels and field boundaries run in every direction, and date palms and cultivated plots fill the spaces between them. The land is level as far as the map reaches.
The town takes its name from the shrine of al-Qasim, a son of Imam Musa al-Kadhim, which is an important place of pilgrimage for Shia Muslims. The shrine sits at the heart of the town, and much of local life revolves around it. The surrounding countryside depends on water drawn from the Euphrates through a network of canals built up over centuries.
An Al-Qāsim map poster turns this agricultural landscape into a delicate pattern of lines. The town is small and dense, and around it the canals and field strips form a careful geometry. It has the look of an old manuscript diagram, especially in the Paper or Sand styles.

Irrigation canal web
Canals and ditches branch across the plain in long straight lines. They form the dominant pattern around the town and show how the Euphrates water is shared out.
Palm and field strips
Narrow cultivated plots and groves line the waterways. Together they create a finely divided landscape that frames the town on every side.
