Ridge roads
Roads tend to follow the tops of the hills, linking one cluster of homes to the next. On the poster they trace the rise and fall of the land.

关于地图
Buhesi Map Poster & Print
Buhesi lies in the Western Region of Uganda, in the hilly country near Fort Portal and the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. The wider area is known for its green landscape, tea growing and crater lakes, and it is one of the most fertile parts of the country. Settlements here are spread out over ridges and slopes rather than concentrated in one place.
On a map Buhesi appears as a loose network rather than a dense town. Roads and tracks follow the high ground and link small clusters of homes, while the valleys between them are mostly farmland. The lines curve with the terrain, giving the map a flowing, natural pattern shaped by the hills more than by planning.
A Buhesi map poster is light and open, with fine lines spread across the frame and plenty of white space. That airy quality suits a minimalist interior. It is a considered piece for families from the area or for anyone who has lived or worked in the region around Fort Portal.

Farmed valleys
Low ground between the ridges is used for crops. The map shows these areas as open space, giving the composition a balanced rhythm.
Dispersed settlement
Homes are spread across the hills instead of being packed into a single centre. From above this creates an even, scattered texture over the whole frame.

为什么选 Buhesi
一张有意义的地图
A map of Buhesi is a personal object. It shows the roads to a family home and the hills around it, and it can mean a great deal to someone who lives far from western Uganda.
Change the title to a family or clan name, add a date, and keep the coordinates. Choose one of five styles and order HD files or a printed poster on matte paper.
