Chaklāsi lies in Kheda District in central Gujarat, a short distance from the city of Nadiad. It belongs to the Charotar region, a fertile area between the Mahi and Sabarmati rivers known for productive agriculture. On a map the town appears as a compact cluster of lanes and small roads, with fields spreading out in every direction beyond its edges.
Towns in this part of Gujarat typically developed organically, with the older areas made up of narrow, winding streets and closely set houses. Newer residential areas tend to follow straighter lines.
