关于地图
Doğubayazıt Map Poster & Print
Doğubayazıt sits on a high plain in eastern Turkey, close to the borders with Iran and Armenia. On the map the town is a compact grid of streets on flat ground, with the main road running east towards the Gürbulak border crossing. To the north the land rises steadily towards Mount Ararat, the country's highest mountain, and the street pattern stops where the slopes begin.
Above the town, on a rocky hillside to the south-east, stands the Ishak Pasha Palace, an eighteenth-century Ottoman palace complex whose silhouette is one of the most photographed in eastern Anatolia. Nearby are the remains of older fortifications, marking a site that has guarded this route between Anatolia and Persia for centuries.
A Doğubayazıt map poster shows a town defined by its setting. The grid is small and regular, the roads lead to the border, and the high ground around it is almost empty on the map. That emptiness is the point: the town sits at the foot of something much larger.

为什么选 Doğubayazıt
一张有意义的地图
Doğubayazıt is a place many travellers remember, whether they came for Ararat, the palace or the road to Iran. A map is a restrained souvenir that shows the town within its landscape, and it also means a great deal to people from the area.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a trip date or route name. Sand and Paper suit the dry high plain, and Noir gives the town a strong graphic presence. Six sizes are included in the $9 download, as PNG and print-ready PDF.
