关于地图
Intich’o Map Poster & Print
Intich’o is a town in the Tigray region of northern Ethiopia, set in the rugged highland country that characterises much of the region. On a map the town is a compact cluster of streets on uneven terrain, shaped by the slopes and gullies around it rather than by any planned grid. Roads leave in several directions, winding between hills toward neighbouring towns and villages.
The surrounding landscape is agricultural and heavily worked, with small fields, footpaths and seasonal streams covering the slopes. In a monochrome print these features create a fine, intricate texture around the town, while the denser street pattern of the centre provides a clear point of focus. The terrain gives even the simplest roads a characteristic, meandering line.
An Intich’o map poster is a way for people from the town, and from Tigray more widely, to keep a precise picture of home. It records the layout of streets and the routes out of town with care, offering a calm and detailed view of a place that seldom appears on printed maps at this scale.

Highland terrain
Ridges and gullies shape the direction of roads and the edges of the town, so the map hints at the landscape even without any relief shading.
Rural footpaths
A network of paths and tracks connects fields and villages on the surrounding slopes, adding a delicate web of lines to the outer parts of the poster.

为什么选 Intich’o
一张有意义的地图
Many people from Intich’o and the surrounding district now live in Mekelle, Addis Ababa or abroad. A map of the home town gives those ties a visible form, and it makes a thoughtful gift for relatives far from Tigray.
Write the title in the spelling you prefer, add a subtitle with a name or a date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Preview it free at 900 px, then download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster.
