Old town knot
The historic core is a dense tangle of narrow lanes. It is the darkest, most intricate part of the print and marks the town's fortified past.

关于地图
Kūmher Map Poster & Print
Kūmher is a town in the Bharatpur district of eastern Rajasthan, on the flat plains between Bharatpur and Deeg. From above, a dense old core of narrow lanes sits at the centre. Newer growth spreads along the roads, and beyond it lies a wide expanse of farmland divided into regular fields.
The town is linked to the history of the Jat rulers of Bharatpur, who fortified it. Kūmher is remembered for the siege of 1754, when Maratha forces surrounded the fort and the Maratha commander Khanderao Holkar was killed. On the map, the historic centre still stands out as the most compact, irregular part of the town.
A Kūmher map poster sets that historic knot of streets against the geometric farmland around it, so the old and the agricultural sit side by side. It suits people with roots in the Bharatpur area, readers of Rajput and Jat history, and anyone who likes the look of a dense old town on an open plain.

Roadside growth
Newer housing extends along the roads leading out of town. These linear arms give the settlement an uneven, reaching outline.
Plains fields
All around, farmland divides the flat land into fairly regular plots. Their straight edges contrast with the organic streets of the centre.
