Gulf shoreline
A long, nearly straight coastline forms the eastern border of the map. It gives the poster a clean division between the open water and the tightly packed land.

Al Faḩāḩīl Map Poster & Print
Al Faḩāḩīl lies on Kuwait's southern coast, south of the capital. From above it is a tightly built district squeezed between the waters of the Persian Gulf and a set of wide highways. The shoreline is almost straight, so the map has a firm eastern edge. Inland, blocks of apartments and shops fill the space up to the expressways.
The town began as a fishing and pearling settlement. Its character changed when the oil industry arrived in Al Aḩmadī governorate in the mid-twentieth century. Large refineries and port installations now lie along the coast nearby, and on a detailed map they appear as broad, geometric shapes that contrast with the finer residential grid of Faḩāḩīl.
An Al Faḩāḩīl map poster captures a place shaped by both the sea and the motorway. A major expressway links it north to Kuwait City and shows as a strong line through the composition. The waterfront promenade traces the coast, and in between, a dense pattern of blocks shows how much life fits into a small area.

Expressway corridor
Wide highways run north toward Kuwait City and around the district. Their broad curves and interchanges frame the older street pattern like a border.
Industrial coast
Refinery and port installations lie along the coast nearby. On the map they appear as large rectilinear plots, very different from the small residential blocks.

Pourquoi Al Faḩāḩīl
Une carte qui a du sens
The map is for people who grew up in Faḩāḩīl, worked in the oil sector nearby, or remember evenings on the waterfront. The simple coastal outline reads well at any size.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be changed to your own words or a date. There are five styles; Sand and Noir work especially well with a desert-coast city. Choose a $9 digital download or a printed matte poster shipped from a nearby partner.
