La carte
Binjai Map Poster & Print
Binjai lies a short distance west of Medan, on the main route toward Aceh, and much of its street pattern hangs off that road. The centre is a compact grid of shops and market streets; outward from it, neighbourhoods thin into kampung lanes, rice fields and plantation land. Rivers cross the city on their way down from the highlands, adding winding lines to the map.
The city is widely known in Indonesia for its rambutan, and the fruit has become part of its identity, giving Binjai the nickname Kota Rambutan. Today it forms part of the Medan metropolitan area, and traffic moves steadily between the two. Its population includes Malay, Karo, Javanese, Chinese and other communities, reflected in its markets and places of worship.
A Binjai map poster shows a city that is still clearly separate from Medan, with its own centre and its own edges. The $9 digital HD files include six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, without a watermark, and printed posters on matte paper can be ordered with an optional wooden frame.

Rivers
Rivers flowing down from the Karo highlands cross the city in winding lines, breaking up the grid and carrying green corridors through the neighbourhoods.
Green margins
At the edges, streets give way to fields, gardens and plantation land, leaving open areas that make the shape of the city easy to read.
