La carte
Kotovo Map Poster & Print
Kotovo lies in the north of Volgograd Oblast, in the open country between the Volga and the Don basins. From above, the town is a clear, rectilinear plan: long parallel streets crossed at right angles, set on gently rolling steppe. A small river valley runs close by, with a line of trees and low ground that softens the edge of the grid.
Towns in this part of southern Russia often grew with the railway and the oil and gas industries that developed across the region in the twentieth century. On the map this shows in the mix of residential blocks, industrial zones and long straight roads connecting Kotovo to neighbouring towns and the wider steppe.
A Kotovo map poster turns this orderly layout into a graphic pattern. Straight lines dominate, broken only by the river valley and the roads that run out into the fields. In black and white, the simplicity of the plan becomes its appeal: a clear, calm town on a wide landscape.

River valley edge
A small river valley runs near the town, adding a curving line and a strip of low ground that contrasts with the straight blocks.
Open steppe
Fields and open land surround the town on all sides, so the built-up area sits like a neat rectangle on a pale, wide background.
