La carte
Velp Map Poster & Print
Velp sits just east of Arnhem, where the wooded slopes of the Veluwe meet the lower land towards the IJssel. From above, the village forms a band of streets along the main road, with country estates and woodland pressing in from the north and open river land to the south.
It is part of the municipality of Rheden and is known for the historic estates that surround it. Kasteel Biljoen, a moated castle, stands on the village's edge, and the Veluwezoom National Park begins just to the north. The estates show up on the map as large, softly patterned areas of lanes and water features.
A Velp map poster shows the contrast between the regular streets of the village and the looser curves of its parks and woodland. The result is a map with a clear centre and a wide, green frame, typical of the villages that line the southern edge of the Veluwe.

Estate landscape
Winding lanes, ponds and woodland paths from the historic estates spread around the built-up area, giving the map a looser, park-like texture.
Veluwe slope
To the north the streets end abruptly against the forest of the Veluwezoom, marking a clear line between village and higher wooded ground.

Pourquoi Velp
Une carte qui a du sens
Velp suits people who have lived on the Arnhem side of the Veluwe, walked the estates or cycled up into the national park. The map holds both the village streets and the woodland around them, so it reads as a portrait of a place and its setting.
Add a personal title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a family name or the year you arrived, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
