Lamon Bay shore
The coastline curves along the town's seaward edge in small inlets and points. It gives the map a strong natural boundary and much of its character.

The map
Gumaca follows the shore of Lamon Bay on the Pacific-facing side of Quezon province. On a map it forms a long, narrow band, with the sea on one side and rising green country on the other. The town centre gathers near the waterfront, and a short grid of streets surrounds the church and plaza.
The Maharlika Highway, part of the Pan-Philippine route, passes through the town. It is the main overland link between Luzon's southern provinces and Manila, and on the map it forms the clearest line of all. Gumaca is also the seat of a Roman Catholic diocese, and its old church is a focal point of the poblacion.
A Gumaca map poster shows three things side by side. There is the bay's irregular coastline, the compact town grid and the highway snaking through it. Inland, the roads thin to a few routes into barangays among coconut groves and hills, so the page is mostly quiet with the detail concentrated on the coast.
The coastline curves along the town's seaward edge in small inlets and points. It gives the map a strong natural boundary and much of its character.
The national highway runs through Gumaca and bends with the terrain. It is the thickest line on the poster and the town's link north and south.
Around the church and plaza, a few short blocks form an orderly centre. It is the densest part of the map, set against the open coast and hills.
