About this Gummi map poster
Gummi lies in Zamfara State in north-western Nigeria, in the savanna belt of the Sokoto-Rima river system. On the map, the town is a compact cluster of streets and compounds. Around it the land opens into wide farmland, with river channels and low-lying floodplain nearby. A few roads link the town with neighbouring settlements.
It is the headquarters of a local government area of the same name. Like much of this region, the town's life is closely connected to farming and the seasonal rhythm of the river, which floods the low ground in the rainy season and leaves fertile soil behind.
A Gummi map poster captures this simple, clear setting: a dense core of streets, the curving line of the river and floodplain, and the open land that surrounds everything. It is a quiet drawing that gives the town its proper place in the landscape.

River floodplain
Nearby river channels and low-lying land flood seasonally. They add curving, organic shapes to an otherwise open map.
Savanna farmland
Fields and tracks spread across flat savanna around the town. They give the edges of the map a light, open texture.
