The map

About this Kantābānji map poster

Kantabanji is a town in the Balangir district of western Odisha, close to the border with Chhattisgarh. It grew around its railway station on the line between Titlagarh and Raipur, and the track is still the clearest feature on its map: a firm diagonal line with the town's market streets, houses and yards gathered on either side.

Beyond the built-up area the land opens into the gently rolling plains typical of western Odisha, with fields, small reservoirs and village roads spreading in every direction. The railway has made Kantabanji an important local link, connecting the surrounding villages with larger cities elsewhere in India.

A Kantabanji map poster is a picture of a town built around movement. The railway runs through the middle, the dense market streets sit beside it, and quieter lanes spread outward into the countryside. It is a clear, simple composition, and the Blueprint style brings out its lines well.

01

Railway line

The line between Titlagarh and Raipur runs straight through the town. It is the map's strongest line, with streets and buildings arranged along it.

02

Market streets

Near the station, streets are narrow and closely packed. They form the densest part of the map and the town's commercial centre.

03

Western Odisha plains

Around the town, gently rolling farmland is crossed by village roads and dotted with small water bodies. It gives the outer map an open feel.
