The map

About this Karnobat map poster

Karnobat lies in Burgas Province, in south-eastern Bulgaria, on a plain between low hills. From above, the town has a fairly regular pattern of streets around its centre, with residential areas extending outwards and railway lines curving past on the edge. Beyond the town, fields and vineyards form a patchwork that fills much of the frame.

Karnobat is an important railway junction, where lines towards Burgas and the Black Sea coast meet routes from the interior. The surrounding area is known for grape-growing and winemaking, and the remains of the medieval Markeli fortress lie nearby, a reminder of the region's long history.

A Karnobat map poster shows a small town shaped by transport and agriculture. The railway lines draw long, sweeping curves, the streets form a compact grid, and the vineyards around them add a fine, textured pattern. In black and white, the result is structured but varied, with the rail junction giving the composition its character.
