Old city lanes
The historic core is a close web of narrow, bending streets. In black and white it becomes the darkest, most intricate part of the print, clearly distinct from later districts.

The map
Kasur sits in Pakistan's Punjab, south-east of Lahore and only a few kilometres from the border with India. From above it reads as a tight, irregular core of lanes and courtyards that has grown outward in newer, more regular blocks, with the railway and the road to Lahore leading away to the north-west across a level plain.
The city is best known as the resting place of Bulleh Shah, the eighteenth-century Sufi poet whose verses are still sung across Punjab, and his shrine draws visitors throughout the year. Kasur's name is also familiar in kitchens far beyond Pakistan through Kasuri methi, the dried fenugreek leaf associated with the district.
A Kasur map poster keeps attention on the contrast between the organic old centre and the flat, open country around it. Without colour, the older quarters become a fine, dense texture, the main roads read as firm strokes, and the farmland beyond fades into a calm margin that frames the city on every side.
The historic core is a close web of narrow, bending streets. In black and white it becomes the darkest, most intricate part of the print, clearly distinct from later districts.
The main route toward Lahore leaves the city to the north-west. It gives the composition a clear direction and connects the dense centre to the wider Punjab plain.
Around the built-up area the land is flat and cultivated, crossed by straight rural roads. On the poster this surrounding space lets the city's shape stand out cleanly.

Why Kasur
Kasur carries meaning for people connected to Bulleh Shah's poetry, to Punjab's shared history, or simply to a family home in its lanes. A map of the city is a restrained way to keep that connection visible every day.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to edit, so the poster can carry a name, a date or a line of verse. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the files or order a framed print.
