The map
Kazanlak lies in central Bulgaria, in the broad valley between the Balkan Mountains to the north and the lower Sredna Gora to the south. The town sits on level ground. Its streets form a fairly regular pattern around a central square, and the land begins to rise towards the Shipka Pass just beyond the northern edge. To the west, the Koprinka Reservoir spreads across the valley.
The area is famous for rose growing. Fields of oil-bearing damask roses surround the town, and a rose festival is held here each year. Kazanlak also contains a Thracian tomb from the fourth century BC, with painted interiors, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. More Thracian burial mounds are scattered across the surrounding valley.
A Kazanlak map poster shows a town clearly shaped by its valley. The streets are neatly arranged on flat ground, the reservoir makes a large, smooth shape to the west, and the roads to the north begin to bend as they climb towards the mountains. It's an orderly composition with a strong sense of place.
The main streets meet at a central square. The regular blocks around it give the town centre a calm, legible pattern on the printed map.
West of town, the reservoir fills part of the valley floor. It's the largest open shape on the poster and balances the dense street grid.
Heading north, the road towards the Shipka Pass leaves the flat grid and begins to bend. This marks the point where valley meets mountain.

Why Kazanlak
Kazanlak means roses, Thracian tombs and the view north to the Balkan range. The map makes a quiet reminder of the valley, whether you grew up there or visited in early summer for the harvest.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with the date of a festival visit or a family name. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
