The map
Khanabad lies in Kunduz Province in northern Afghanistan, east of the provincial capital, on a river that shares the town's name. The land around it is flat and well watered, and the map is dominated less by streets than by the pattern of fields, irrigation channels and the lanes that serve them.
The town itself forms a compact centre, with market streets and closely built compounds, and roads leading outward to villages across the plain. A Khanabad map poster captures this relationship between settlement and farmland: a small, dense core surrounded by a fine web of paths and field boundaries shaped over generations.
The river is the organising element. It supplies the irrigation that makes the district productive, and its course shows as a winding line across the plain. Further away, the land rises towards the hills that frame the northern valleys of Afghanistan.
The river flows past the town and feeds a network of irrigation channels, its winding course one of the few strong natural lines on the map.
Market streets and closely built compounds form a dense core, contrasting with the open, finely divided farmland that surrounds it.
Outside the town, lanes and field boundaries spread across the plain in an intricate pattern built around the distribution of irrigation water.

Why Khanabad
Khanabad is most meaningful to people from the town and province, including families living abroad who want an accurate picture of a place that rarely appears in maps or prints. The farmland gives the poster a delicate, textured look.
Personalise the title and subtitle, in any language, and adjust the coordinates line. Paper and Sand soften the field pattern into something close to an old survey map, while Classic black and white keeps it precise.
