St. Lawrence shoreline
The river frames the municipality along its southern side. On the poster it becomes a wide, calm area of open space that balances the denser lines of streets inland.

The map
Les Coteaux lies in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region of Quebec, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River west of Montreal. Its name means "the slopes", a reminder of the gentle rises of land above the water. On a map, the river is the defining element: a broad band of open water along one edge, with the settled area stretched alongside it.
Roads and rail follow the same direction as the shore, so the streets form long parallel lines with shorter connections between them. Residential blocks sit close to the water, and beyond them the pattern opens into fields and scattered rural lots. This mix of riverfront settlement and farmland is typical of the communities strung along this stretch of the St. Lawrence.
A Les Coteaux map poster shows that relationship between town and river with nothing else in the way. The river's edge, the parallel transport lines and the quieter side streets make a composition that is simple but clearly tied to its place, much like the landscape itself.
The river frames the municipality along its southern side. On the poster it becomes a wide, calm area of open space that balances the denser lines of streets inland.
Roads and the rail corridor run in the same direction as the shore, creating long, steady lines that give the map a strong horizontal structure.
Away from the river the street network thins into rural roads and field boundaries, so the poster moves from settled blocks to open country across its width.

Why Les Coteaux
Riverside towns carry a particular kind of attachment: summers by the water, a family house near the shore, a daily drive along the river road. A map of Les Coteaux keeps that geography on the wall in a form that stays calm and uncluttered.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a name or year that matters to you, and choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand to match your interior.
