About this Liloan map poster

Liloan is a municipality on the eastern coast of Cebu, on the northern edge of Metro Cebu beyond Mandaue and Consolacion. On a map, the main road north runs parallel to the coast, and the town's streets branch off it toward the sea on one side and into rising ground on the other. Growth from the metro area has filled much of the coastal strip.

Liloan is known for the Bagacay Point Lighthouse, an early twentieth-century light on a headland along the coast, and for rosquillos, the ring-shaped biscuits first made here and now linked with the town across the Philippines. A Liloan map poster traces the coastline around that point, where the shore bends and the streets give way to the sea.

Inland, subdivisions and barangay roads spread over the slopes, with streams cutting down toward the coast. The result is a map with two textures: a long, continuous shoreline and a looser network of curving roads behind it. In black and white, the contrast between shore and hills comes through clearly.

01

Coastal road

The main road north from Metro Cebu follows the coastline through Liloan. It forms the backbone of the town, with most streets branching from it toward the shore or the hills.

02

Bagacay Point

The lighthouse stands on a headland along Liloan's coast. On the map, the point shows as a clear bend in the shoreline, a natural focal spot for the composition.

03

Hillside subdivisions

Newer housing estates occupy the slopes inland. Their looping streets and cul-de-sacs form tight clusters that contrast with the long coastal road.
