About this Lingyuan map poster
Lingyuan lies in the hilly west of Liaoning province, close to the borders with Hebei and Inner Mongolia. On the map the city follows its valley, with the built-up area stretched along the lower ground and the surrounding slopes keeping development within fairly clear limits on either side.
The streets are mostly regular, with main roads running along the valley and shorter cross streets connecting them. A river passes along the edge of the centre, and railway and road corridors follow the same low ground, so infrastructure, water and housing all run roughly in parallel.
