The map
Łuków is a town in the Lublin Voivodeship of eastern Poland, on the lowland between Warsaw and the Belarusian border. It has long been a local market and administrative centre. Today it is also known as a railway junction, where lines cross on the route toward the east of the country.
On the map, the town has a clear, compact heart: an old market square with streets leading outward, surrounded by later apartment blocks and single-family houses. Railway tracks and their yards form long straight bands on one side of the town. The main roads enter from several directions and give the plan a radiating structure.
Beyond the built-up area the landscape is flat and wooded, with the Łuków Forest nearby and fields stretching between village roads. A Łuków map poster shows the classic form of a Polish provincial town. It has a market square, a rail line and roads to neighbouring towns, all set in quiet countryside.
The historic square sits at the centre of the town, with streets leaving from its corners. The rest of the plan radiates out from this point.
Tracks and sidings form long, straight bands across the map. This strong linear element reflects the town's place on the rail route to the east.
Woodland and fields surround the town, so toward the edges of the frame the dense street pattern gives way to open ground and scattered village roads.

Why Łuków
Łuków is the home town of many Poles who have moved to Warsaw, Lublin or abroad, and a map of it is a calm, personal reminder of where they started. The layout is simple enough to recognise at once and detailed enough to find a single street.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a surname, a year or a dedication, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download covers six sizes, including A3 and A2, each as a PNG and a PDF.
