Assebroek Map Poster & Print
Assebroek is part of the city of Bruges. It was a separate municipality until the Belgian municipal mergers of the 1970s joined it to the city. It lies to the south-east of the historic centre, just outside the water-filled ring that surrounds the medieval core. On a map, it appears as a band of residential streets, small squares and green spaces.
The contrast with its famous neighbour is the most interesting thing about the drawing. Inside the ring, streets curve along old canals and tight medieval plots. Assebroek is laid out more openly, with longer streets, twentieth-century housing and parks, and it fades into fields and woods further out.
An Assebroek map poster can be framed to include the edge of the Bruges canal ring. That places the district in context and shows where the historic city ends and everyday residential Bruges begins. It suits the Classic black & white and Blueprint styles, where the water lines stay sharp and distinct.

Residential streets
Mostly twentieth-century streets and housing blocks give the district a looser, more open pattern than the old centre next door.
Green outskirts
Towards the south-east, the streets give way to parks, fields and woodland. The poster's outer margins become quiet and open.

Għaliex Assebroek
Mappa li tfisser xi ħaġa
Tourists see central Bruges, but many residents live in districts like Assebroek. A map of the actual neighbourhood, and not the postcard centre, is a more personal thing to hang, especially for a first home or a family house.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a street name or a moving-in date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the interior.
