Guang’an Map Poster & Print
Guang’an lies in eastern Sichuan, in the rolling hill country between Chengdu and Chongqing. The Qu River runs through the city in a series of bends, and the streets follow the river and the low ridges around it, which gives the map an irregular, organic outline.
The city is best known as the home region of Deng Xiaoping, who was born in a village in what is now Guang’an's Xiexing area. His former residence is a memorial site today. Beyond that, the city has grown steadily, with new districts appearing on the flatter ground near the river.
A Guang’an map poster shows these features without colour: the loops of the Qu River, older streets near the water, and newer planned districts where the land opens out. It is a quiet, detailed portrait of a city that most people know only by its connection to one name.
