L'Haÿ-les-Roses lies a few kilometres south of the Paris périphérique, on the plateau above the Bièvre valley in Val-de-Marne. The town is home to the Roseraie du Val-de-Marne, created at the end of the nineteenth century by Jules Gravereaux and often described as the first garden devoted entirely to roses.
