Peachtree Corners lies in Gwinnett County, northeast of Atlanta, with the Chattahoochee River along much of its northwestern edge. From above, it is a landscape of looping residential drives, office campuses set among trees and ponds, and a few broad arterial roads, with Peachtree Industrial Boulevard carrying traffic through the middle. There is no traditional downtown grid, and the map shows it.
The city was incorporated only in 2012, but its layout goes back to the 1960s, when Technology Park was planned here as one of the region's early office and research parks. That area now includes Curiosity Lab, a public test environment for autonomous vehicles and connected technology, set along a stretch of road inside the park.
