State Fair Park
The fairgrounds fill a large block near the eastern edge of the city. The oval of the Milwaukee Mile racetrack is the most recognisable curve on the whole map.

West Allis Map Poster & Print
West Allis borders Milwaukee to the west, and on a map the two cities share the same disciplined grid, block after block of straight streets meeting at right angles. Long arterials such as Greenfield Avenue and National Avenue run east to west across the city. Railway corridors and former factory sites break the pattern into distinct sections. The effect is orderly, dense and unmistakably Midwestern.
The city takes its name from the Edward P. Allis Company, later Allis-Chalmers. Its large works drew thousands of workers here from the early 1900s, which explains the rail lines and broad industrial parcels still visible on the map. West Allis is also home to Wisconsin State Fair Park, where the state fair takes place each summer around a historic racetrack.
A West Allis map poster suits the city's straightforward character. The grid becomes a fine, regular texture, the fairgrounds oval stands out as a single curved shape, and the rail corridors cut clean bands across the composition. For anyone who grew up here, worked at the plants or never misses the fair, it is a direct and honest portrait of a working city.

The street grid
Numbered streets and long avenues form an almost unbroken grid that continues straight into Milwaukee's. It gives the poster a calm, even pattern from edge to edge.
Industrial corridors
Rail lines and former Allis-Chalmers land interrupt the grid with long bands and large parcels. They are traces of the factories that built the city.
