The map
Enzan Map Poster & Print
Enzan is on the northeastern edge of the Kōfu basin in Yamanashi Prefecture. It was a city in its own right until 2005, when it merged into Kōshū. From above, the town sits where the flat basin meets steep mountains. The streets gather on gentle ground, and the uplands behind them remain mostly blank.
Yamanashi is Japan's main wine and fruit region, and the land around Enzan is covered with vineyards and orchards for grapes and peaches. Enzan is also home to Erin-ji, the temple associated with the warlord Takeda Shingen, whose grave is there. The temple and its garden are among the area's best-known sites.
An Enzan map poster shows the line between cultivated land and mountain. The town's streets and the railway run along the basin edge, small farm lanes add fine detail below, and the empty uplands frame everything from above. It is an elegant picture of a place defined by slope, fruit and history.

Vineyard lanes
Narrow roads between orchards and vineyards create a fine, irregular pattern below the town. They reflect the fruit-growing landscape that defines Yamanashi.
Erin-ji temple grounds
The temple linked to Takeda Shingen occupies its own area near the town. Its grounds break up the surrounding streets with a quieter, open patch.

Why Enzan
A map that means something
Enzan appeals to wine lovers, people who have visited Erin-ji and those with family in the Kōfu basin. The contrast between town, orchards and mountains gives the poster depth without any colour.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example to mark a harvest year or a family vineyard. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper suits the gentle landscape of the basin.
