The map
Mittweida Map Poster & Print
Mittweida sits above the valley of the Zschopau in central Saxony. From above, the old town is a compact knot of streets around the market square on higher ground. The river curves through the valley below, and the later neighbourhoods spread across the plateau beyond the historic core.
The town is best known for its university of applied sciences. It was founded in 1867 as a private technical institute, the Technikum Mittweida, and trained generations of engineers. Today, as Hochschule Mittweida, it gives the small town a strong student presence and a campus that forms its own area on the map.
A Mittweida map poster shows a typical Saxon arrangement: a medieval centre, a river valley that sets a natural edge, and industrial-era streets and housing stretching outward. The curve of the Zschopau gives the drawing movement, and the compact centre gives it focus.

Why Mittweida
A map that means something
Many engineers and media graduates spent their student years in Mittweida, and a map of the town is a fitting reminder of lectures, shared flats and walks along the Zschopau. It also suits families with deep Saxon roots.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can add a graduation year or a name. The styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint gives it a technical look that suits the town's engineering past.
