The map
Saint-Genis-Laval Map Poster & Print
Saint-Genis-Laval lies on the southwestern edge of Lyon, in the Métropole de Lyon. It sits on the slopes that rise from the Rhône and Saône valley towards the Monts du Lyonnais. From above, the town has a compact centre with older streets, then a looser pattern of residential lanes that follow the hilly ground.
The Lyon Observatory is located in Saint-Genis-Laval, set in grounds on the higher part of the commune. The large Lyon Sud hospital site is also here, and on the map its campus shows as a cluster of buildings and internal roads. Green spaces and patches of former estate land break up the residential areas.
A Saint-Genis-Laval map poster captures a suburb with real character. The winding streets, the open grounds of the observatory and the larger institutional sites give the composition variety, while the city's dense fabric pressing in from the east adds contrast.

Hillside lanes
Residential streets curve over the slopes west of Lyon. They give the town an organic, flowing shape rather than a strict grid.
Hospital campus
The Lyon Sud hospital site forms a distinct block of buildings and internal roads. It is one of the clearest large features on the poster.
