Main road spine
The principal road through Namacurra is the strongest line on the map. It connects the town to Quelimane and to the districts further inland, and the settlement gathers along it.

The map
Namacurra sits on the flat, well-watered lowlands of Zambezia Province in central Mozambique, inland from the provincial capital Quelimane. From above, the settlement is a loose cluster of streets and tracks on dry ground. Around it spread a mosaic of fields, palm-dotted farmland and the winding channels that drain this low country toward the Indian Ocean.
The town is the seat of Namacurra District and a stop on the road network linking Quelimane with the interior. Much of the surrounding land is farmed, and the river systems that shape this part of the coast also shape how people move and settle. Heavy rains and cyclones are a recurring part of life here.
A Namacurra map poster shows very little hard geometry. The main road runs through as a firm line, with lighter tracks branching off toward villages and fields. Water gives the composition its character: meandering rivers and marshy ground make an organic pattern that reads almost like a drawing of a landscape rather than a town plan.
The principal road through Namacurra is the strongest line on the map. It connects the town to Quelimane and to the districts further inland, and the settlement gathers along it.
Rivers and drainage channels wind across the coastal plain around the town. They fill the map with soft, looping curves instead of straight streets.
Beyond the built-up area the map opens into wide agricultural land, crossed by footpaths and tracks that link scattered homesteads and villages.

Why Namacurra
A map of Namacurra is a personal thing to hang. It can mark a family home, years of work in Zambezia, or a place visited on a long journey through Mozambique. The quiet lines of road and river give a sense of the landscape without any need for photographs.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. A free 900 px preview shows the design before you buy the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
