Ko e mape
Deoli lies in the Tonk district of eastern Rajasthan, on the plains between Ajmer and Kota. In the colonial period it was a military station, home to the Deoli Irregular Force raised in the nineteenth century, and the cantonment shaped the town's early development. Today it serves as a market and administrative centre for the surrounding farmland.
Deoli is also remembered for a painful episode. During and after the 1962 war between India and China, thousands of people of Chinese origin living in India were interned in a camp here, some for several years. Their story has received growing recognition in recent decades through memoirs, documentaries and community efforts to record it.
A Deoli map poster shows a modest town with a clear shape: a close cluster of central streets, roads extending across the flat countryside, and the agricultural land of the Banas basin all around. It is a quiet, legible map, and for many families it marks a place of real personal significance.
Deoli's history as a nineteenth-century military station, home to the Deoli Irregular Force, left its mark on the town and on its place in regional memory.
Central streets form a compact cluster where markets and older buildings concentrate, producing the densest part of the linework on the finished poster.
Flat farmland of the Banas basin surrounds the town, and its field tracks and roads create a light, spacious frame around the built-up area.

Ko e ha Deoli
Some hang a map of Deoli because they grew up there or still have family nearby; others because relatives passed through the internment camp in the 1960s. In either case, the print offers a sober, respectful way to mark a place that matters.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line to record a name, a year or a short dedication, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files come at 300 DPI, and printed posters can be framed in wood.
