Dhule lies in the Khandesh region of northern Maharashtra, on the banks of the Panzara River. The river crosses the city and separates the older neighbourhoods from the areas that grew around them. On a map its winding course gives the otherwise flat plain a clear line to orient by. Low hills and farmland surround the urban area on most sides.
The city is an important road junction. Several national highways meet here, including the route linking Mumbai with Agra, and the map shows these roads converging on Dhule from several directions before heading out across the plain. That position has long made the city a trading and administrative centre for the surrounding farming district.
A Dhule map poster works because of its clarity. The river provides a gentle curve and the highways add long radiating lines. The neighbourhoods between them mix tight older lanes with more regular later blocks. Open farmland around the edges frames the city cleanly, giving the composition a strong centre without crowding the page.

Several national highways converge on Dhule, drawing long straight lines across the plain that meet near the city and give the print a radiating structure.
Beyond the built-up area, farmland and low hills leave broad open space around the city, so the urban core stands out clearly within the frame.
