Ko e mape
El Soberbio is a town in the province of Misiones in northeastern Argentina, on the banks of the Uruguay River. Brazil lies directly across the water, and a ferry connects the two sides. The terrain is hilly and green, so the town does not follow a strict grid. Streets climb from the river and bend around slopes.
The town is best known as a gateway to the Moconá Falls, the Saltos del Moconá, where the Uruguay River drops along a long fracture parallel to its own course, one of the most unusual waterfalls in South America. El Soberbio is also known for producing essential oils, especially citronella, grown in the surrounding countryside.
An El Soberbio map poster is shaped by the river. The wide band of the Uruguay forms one edge of the composition, with the town rising from it and small farms scattered across the hills behind. In black and white, the curving streets and broad water make for a map with real movement.
The town sits right on the river, with Brazil on the opposite bank. The water is a strong, broad feature along one side of the map.
El Soberbio is the main access point for the Moconá Falls, where the river cascades along a long fault line running parallel to its course.
Streets and rural roads bend through the hilly landscape of Misiones, avoiding straight lines and giving the map a loose, flowing structure.

El Soberbio draws people for the falls, the river and the green hills of Misiones. It is also home for many families with ties to both sides of the border. A map poster keeps that riverside setting close.
