Gebog is a district in Kudus Regency, Central Java, lying to the north of Kudus town. From above it is a mix of village settlements, rice fields and plantations, with roads running roughly north towards the rising ground of Mount Muria, the old volcano that dominates this part of the coast.
Kudus is well known for its kretek clove-cigarette industry and for the historic Menara Kudus mosque in the town centre, and Gebog shares in that wider regional identity.
