From above, the landscape is made of long rectangular fields and straight irrigation channels, with the town sitting as a denser patch at their centre. To the north, the land begins to rise toward the Taurus foothills.
The town grew as a market and service centre for the surrounding farms, and its layout reflects that role. A main road runs through the centre, with streets branching off in a loose grid. Irrigation canals and farm tracks extend outward in regular lines, giving the wider map an almost geometric character.
