Ko e mape
Mangaluru lies on the Arabian Sea coast of Karnataka, where the Netravati and Gurupura rivers approach the sea. The rivers curve around the city and meet near the coast in an estuary behind a sandbar, so the map has water on three sides. Within that frame, streets climb over low laterite hills, winding rather than forming a grid.
North of the old city, the New Mangalore Port at Panambur adds a harbour with breakwaters and industrial areas along the shore. The coast is lined with long beaches, and palm-covered land extends inland from the sand. The hilly centre, with its temples, churches and old markets, sits a short distance back from the water.
Mangaluru has a long history as a trading port, and the clay roof tiles made here, known widely as Mangalore tiles, were once shipped throughout India and beyond. The city is also a regional centre for education and medicine. A Mangaluru map poster traces how the rivers and coast have shaped the city for centuries.
The Netravati and Gurupura curve around the city and reach the sea through a shared estuary, framing the centre with broad, winding water.
Roads in the centre wind over low laterite hills, following the terrain and giving Mangaluru an organic street pattern unlike flat coastal cities.
To the north, the New Mangalore Port adds breakwaters and harbour basins, clean engineered shapes along an otherwise gently curving shore.

Ko e ha Mangaluru
For people from coastal Karnataka, Mangaluru means the sea, the rivers and the hills in between. A map of the city is a quiet reminder of home, whether in Bengaluru, the Gulf or further away.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name. Then choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
