Nangli lies in the Amritsar district of Punjab, on the flat, fertile plain of the Majha region, a short distance from the city of Amritsar. The area is largely agricultural, and on a map the settlement appears as a cluster of homes and lanes surrounded by rectangular fields and straight roads.
The Punjab plain is one of the most intensively farmed landscapes in South Asia, and irrigation canals and field boundaries give it a strongly geometric character. Around Nangli, roads link the settlement toward Amritsar, whose growth is gradually extending into the surrounding villages.
A Nangli map poster captures this meeting of village and plain. The dense lanes of the settlement contrast with the long, straight lines of roads and fields, while nearby urban development hints at the proximity of Amritsar, known worldwide as the city of the Golden Temple.
The settlement's lanes form a dense, irregular knot of streets, typical of Punjabi villages that grew organically around a central area.
Rectangular fields and straight roads surround the settlement, reflecting the flat terrain and intensive agriculture of the Majha plain.
The city of Amritsar lies close by, and its expanding suburbs and roads increasingly connect to the village landscape around Nangli.

Many Punjabi families have relatives living abroad, and a map of the village is a direct link to their origins. For those in Canada, the UK or elsewhere, a Nangli poster marks the lanes and fields of home in a simple, lasting way.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be personalised, in English or with a family name, and there are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files for $9 cover six print sizes, or order a printed poster.
