Tbilisskaya is a stanitsa, a Cossack village, in Krasnodar Krai, set along the Kuban River in the flat, fertile Kuban lowland. Like many Cossack settlements, it covers a large area for its population. Long, straight streets run for kilometres, lined with houses and generous gardens, and cross-streets divide the land into deep rectangular plots. From above, the pattern is spacious and very regular.
The river forms the settlement's main natural edge, with loops, old meanders and wooded floodplain along its banks. The stanitsa's name echoes Tiflis, the former name of Tbilisi, a link to the military history of the Caucasus frontier. On a Tbilisskaya map poster the straight streets and the winding Kuban set order against nature.
Beyond the houses, the steppe has been turned almost entirely into farmland: large fields separated by lines of shelter-belt trees. On the map these windbreaks are thin straight strokes that carry the grid out into the countryside. Regional roads lead from the stanitsa to Kropotkin, Ust-Labinsk and other towns along the river, crossing the fields in long, unbroken lines.
Long parallel streets and deep plots make one of the most orderly patterns a village map can show. Each block holds a row of houses with gardens behind them.
The river bends past the settlement with side channels and old meanders, bordered by trees and meadows. It gives the print a soft, flowing edge against the straight streets.
Rows of trees planted between fields to break the steppe wind run in straight lines across the countryside. They add a fine geometric texture around the edge of the stanitsa.

Stanitsa families often stay closely tied to the place after moving to Krasnodar or further away, and a map of the home street is easy to recognise and point to. Put the family name in the title and a founding year or an anniversary in the subtitle.
The geometric layout is striking in Blueprint and calm in Classic black and white, and Noir, Paper and Sand are also available. The digital version costs $9 for six sizes. Printed matte posters, framed or unframed, can be ordered for delivery.
