Yehud lies on Israel's central coastal plain, east of Tel Aviv and immediately next to Ben Gurion Airport. On a map, the town is a dense, compact cluster of streets, while the long runways of the airport form a large, open geometric shape nearby. Together they make one of the most distinctive compositions in the Tel Aviv area.
Yehud is one of the places named in the Book of Joshua, and the modern town grew on that ancient site. Today it forms a joint municipality with neighbouring Neve Monosson and is home to offices and technology companies as well as residential areas. The main roads around it link the town to the wider Gush Dan metropolitan area.
