Marau Map Poster & Print
Marau is in the north of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil, not far from Passo Fundo. The region was settled largely by Italian immigrants and their descendants, and the landscape is made up of rolling hills, small rivers and farms. On a map, the town fits into this terrain with a compact core and streets that follow the contours.
The local economy is built on agriculture and food processing, and the town has a reputation for strong industry relative to its size. Farming families, cooperatives and processing plants form a network that extends well beyond the urban area, and rural roads connect the town to the surrounding communities.
The street layout combines a regular central grid with more irregular extensions, where newer neighbourhoods run up hillsides or along streams. Wooded valleys divide sections of the town. A Marau map poster shows a well-kept regional centre in the southern Brazilian highlands, with a pattern that is orderly without being rigid.
