Qingping is a town in the Chongqing municipality in south-western China, in the rolling country of the Sichuan Basin. The landscape here is made of low hills and valleys, and from above the town follows that terrain. Streets run along valley floors and around slopes, so the pattern is irregular, with dense clusters where the ground allows.
Around the built-up area, the map shows a mix of small fields, terraced plots on hillsides and scattered villages connected by winding roads. Small rivers and ponds lie in the lower ground.
