Square and church
The town grows out from a central square in the pattern shared by many towns in the Brazilian interior. It forms the most detailed point on the map.

Rafael Jambeiro Map Poster & Print
Rafael Jambeiro is a municipality in the interior of Bahia, in north-eastern Brazil. It lies inland from the Recôncavo region, in country that becomes steadily drier toward the sertão. Like many small Bahian towns, its urban centre is small compared with its rural territory. On a map, a tight urban cluster sits within a wide area of scattered farms and dirt roads.
The town is built around a main square and a church. From there, streets form irregular blocks that stretch along the approach roads. Outside the centre the lines thin out quickly. Unpaved roads run across the country between smallholdings, pasture and scrubland, and small hamlets appear here and there. The contrast between the dense centre and the open land around it shapes the map.
A Rafael Jambeiro map poster keeps that proportion. The town is a small, dark cluster, and the landscape is a spare web of long lines. It is a quiet image of rural Bahia, suited to people who grew up there or whose families came from the interior before moving to Salvador, São Paulo or elsewhere.

Approach-road growth
Houses extend along the roads leading into town. The urban edge becomes elongated rather than round, following the routes people travel.
Rural road web
Long dirt roads cross the surrounding countryside and link farms and hamlets. They make a sparse, open pattern that fills the outer part of the frame.
