Planned avenues
Wide, straight roads define large rectangular blocks, the signature of newer Chinese urban districts, and give the map a bold, open structure.

Shuangfu Map Poster & Print
Shuangfu lies in Jiangjin District, in the south-west of Chongqing Municipality, on rolling land not far from the Yangtze River. In recent years it has grown rapidly as a new urban area. The map shows the result: broad, straight avenues and large planned blocks laid across what was once farmland and low hills.
Chongqing's terrain is rarely flat, and even in newer districts the planners have had to work around ridges and valleys. This creates an interesting tension on the map. Some roads run in long, confident lines, while others curve to follow the slope, and pockets of green remain where the ground is too steep to build on. The Yangtze winds past a short distance away.
A Shuangfu map poster records a district still taking shape, with the large scale of its new streets set against older village patterns and hillsides. For anyone who studied, worked or moved into a new home here, it is a precise snapshot of the place at one moment in its growth.

Hills and green pockets
Where ridges or steep slopes interrupt the plan, patches of undeveloped land remain and break the grid with soft, organic shapes.
