De kaart
Sungai Jawi Map Poster & Print
Sungai Jawi lies on the mainland side of Penang, in the southern part of Seberang Perai, close to the state borders with Kedah and Perak. This is low, flat country. The land is divided by drainage channels, rice fields and plantation blocks, and roads run along the edges of these parcels, connecting small settlements.
From above, the town appears as a modest cluster of streets along the main roads, with village-style housing spreading out along lanes into the surrounding fields. Straight irrigation and drainage lines cross the landscape, and rivers wind towards the coast. It is a quiet, horizontal map, very different from the dense, hilly streets of George Town across the channel.
A Sungai Jawi map poster is a portrait of Penang’s agricultural mainland, a side of the state that visitors often miss. The pattern of fields and water channels gives the map a fine, textured quality in black and white. For people who grew up here, the lanes and junctions carry the particular memory of home.

Roadside settlement
Houses and shops line the main roads and spread along smaller lanes, so the town reads as a linear cluster, not a dense block.
Three-state corner
