Straight main roads
Long, straight roads cross the town and continue into the countryside. They create the basic frame of the map and link Taitou to neighbouring towns across the plain.

De kaart
Taitou Map Poster & Print
Taitou lies on the level ground of northern Shandong, in the wide lowland that stretches toward the Yellow River delta and the Bohai coast. The land here is almost completely flat, and it shows on the map: straight roads, rectangular blocks and field boundaries that run in long, parallel lines toward the horizon.
Like many towns on the North China Plain, Taitou combines an older core with newer districts built along wide avenues. Farmland, drainage channels and village clusters surround the built-up area, so the edge of the town is marked by a change in texture rather than by hills or a coastline.
A Taitou map poster works as a study in order. The main roads form a clear frame, the town blocks fill it, and the agricultural land beyond adds a quieter pattern of lines. In a minimalist style, the regularity of the plain becomes a design in its own right.

Town blocks
The built-up area is divided into fairly regular blocks, with larger plots along the main avenues and finer streets in the older parts of town.
Field patterns
Around the town, fields and drainage channels form long parallel strips. They give the outer part of the poster a light, linear texture that frames the denser centre.
