Viçosa Map Poster & Print
Viçosa lies in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais, a region of rounded hills and green valleys. The town is best known as home to the Federal University of Viçosa, which grew out of an agricultural school founded in the 1920s and remains one of Brazil's leading centres for agricultural science. From above, the terrain shapes everything. Streets follow the valley floors and climb the slopes wherever they can.
The university campus is one of the largest features on the map. It covers a wide area of buildings, experimental fields, woodland and roads, set somewhat apart from the dense town centre. Its main entrance, the Quatro Pilastras gateway, is the town's most familiar symbol. Between campus and centre, neighbourhoods wind along the contours in irregular patterns.
A Viçosa map poster shows a town shaped by hills and learning. Curved streets meet a large, open campus, and the whole plan follows the land instead of a grid. For alumni, the campus roads are easy to recognise. Paper and Classic black & white both suit its winding lines.

Valley streets
Streets follow the valley floors and curve along hillsides, so the town has no grid and instead traces the land's contours.
Compact centre
The busier town centre sits in a lower area near the campus, its streets more tightly packed than the neighbourhoods on the slopes.
